So, I got more safety-conscious after the crash. Wearing a Fox V1 180 camo MX helmet and a Leatt GPX 5.5 neck brace. In front of a hedge with a tow-away sign.

An offroad neck brace like that works only with a motocross helmet. It and the lower rim of the helmet are designed in a way that the combination leaves enough room for the usual head movements.

If the cervical spine flexes, extends or moves side-to-side too much in a crash,  the helmet rim and the neck brace come into contact and the latter absorbs the force, if need be by destruction. Yes, and I'd really like to hear from you if  you've experienced such a misfortune. Did it work as advertised?

On to the lighter side of things, the camouflage paint job on the helmet works well together with the green cow. It reminds me of my 20 years served in the army. No really, I did!
