BMW’s Road Glide

While the cow was in for service, I had this BMW R 1200 RT as a loaner. Fun to ride something totally different but still familiar. It reminded me of nothing more than Harley-Davidson's Road Glide.

A tertiary road beside a small river and the R 1200 RT is in it's natural habitat. She pulls like the liquid-cooled boxer motor she has, but no one will mistake her for a sports bike. She's a relaxing cruiser!

That's not only an excellent windscreen (motorized, no less!), but also a fly killer.

The rear-view mirrors sit in the edges of the frame-mounted fairing and provide a very good view *below* your hands on the grips.
